We Are Proud to Announce: Dr. Nizal Sarrafzadegan Named a Top Medical Scientist at the 64th Alborz Prize

The 64th annual Alborz Prize ceremony convened on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Shahid Beheshti University’s International Conference Center, recognizing 58 distinguished individuals for their significant contributions to science and innovation. The event was attended by prominent officials, including First Vice President Dr. Mohammad Reza Aref, alongside leaders from the Endowment and Charitable Affairs Organization, the National Elites Foundation, and various academic institutions.

This year’s awards recognized four top scientists across the fields of Medical Science, Engineering, Basic Sciences, and the Humanities. Notably, Dr. Nizal Sarrafzadegan was honored as the foremost scientist in Medical Sciences. 

The Alborz Cultural Foundation, established in 1963 by the late Hossein Ali Alborz, has consistently championed a culture of excellence and supported the academic community for over six decades. Its impactful work includes conducting 25 national and provincial award ceremonies, providing educational and employment loans to over 3,000 students, and bestowing more than 4,650 academic excellence prizes.
