Prof. Nizal Sarrafzadegan Wins Second Place in Clinical Category at 2025 Razi Festival

On the morning of Monday, February 17, the 30th Razi Festival was held at the Imam Khomeini Hall of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, with the attendance of the President of Iran, the Minister of Health and Medical Education, the Deputy Minister for Research and Technology, and other officials from the Ministry of Health.

At this year’s festival, 12 faculty members were honored in the category of individual researchers. Additionally, 25 institutions, including medical universities, scientific journals, research centers, technology incubators, knowledge-based companies, and non-governmental organizations supporting research were selected as winners in the legal and research institutions category.

Prof. Nizal Sarrafzadegan, director of the Cardiovascular Research Institute and the Isfahan Cardiovascular Research Center, was awarded second place in the Clinical and Health Sciences category. This recognition was based on the high impact of two of her top-cited articles over the past five years, as well as her inclusion among the principal investigators of influential projects, and top researchers in medical sciences in the country. She received the festival’s trophy and certificate of honor from the President and the Minister of Health.
