Research Council Centre at its first meeting in 2006 with the belief that research should be oriented specific research, determined for the Center the research line of endothelial cell function. The center, according to its mission for expanding application areas, collaborated with experts from different fields such as cardiologists, pediatric, gynecology, cardiovascular surgeons, neurologists, eye and dental diseases. Since general approach of the research center defined as translational research strongly focused on delivering basic findings into clinical settings. The center from 2013 is focused on the role of endothelial system. Due to increased incidence of cancer diseases, deaths and the absence of basic science cancer research, the center has focused their research on cancer.
The Profile of Applied Physiology Research Center
Applied Physiology Research Center with an area of 250 square meters located in Isfahan University of Medical Sciences. The center has a molecular laboratory room with advanced equipment and cell culture room, conference hall, and office venues. The center has four full-time professional faculty member.
The mission of Applied Physiology Research Center is improving the quality of basic and applied research in science to fill a gap in basic and clinical science in medical sciences. Also, increasing the scientific publications, training professionals make the principles of professionalism, capacity building, and knowledge-based planning for morality based on noble values are another purposes for our center. According the mission of the research center to implement interdisciplinary research and translational research, all aspects of tumor biology and clinical applications will review and increase research results to productivity and optimize their use in therapy research productivity and optimize their use in therapy research diseases.
We developed most highly cited articles which can have effective roles in the production of indigenous knowledge and even possible cancer diagnostic kit or a treatment.

Applied Physiology Research Center is one of the centers of basic research by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education in the country. The center is guided by basic research in order to use it in clinical sciences. Organization of clinical issues and strategic solutions based on basic research is at the forefront of these facilities and it is hoped that the approach is ultimately to improve social health.
